craft room

So, I think we might do the painting this weekend. Any suggestions for wall colors for my craft room? Need something pretty bright because it is in the basement with no windows and I don't like neutrals anyway :-). Come on ladies, what are the suggestions?

hold the phone, you're not even MOVED IN his place yet, and you're already getting A CRAFT ROOM? I don't have a craft room in my own house and I'M AN ARTIST...is he like Aaron Spelling where you get an enture room to wrap presents in and an entire room for scary china dolls because the house is so big?

Our "formal" living room is painted a bright green - like a grass green sort of color. I love that room! Our playroom/office is painted red - it has a UGA theme! :) I guess it depends on what kinds of colors inspire you? Warm colors (like red, yellow, etc. - no orange!) or cooler colors like blue, green, purple, etc.

@molly- ha, no. He has 4 bedrooms upstairs and then some random room downstairs. That joins to the storage under the staircase to the basement. My "craft room" is probably about 8ft by 10 ft or something.

@rebecca- I like red but I have painted a wall that color before and it took 5 coats so I am steering clear of that. I think that I lik cooler colors. A lot of the rooms already have clue so I was thinking maybe yellow or green.

Not trying to steer you towards red (I like cooler colors too, hence the 2 blue rooms & one green room that we have - we just did red because we wanted a UGA room), BUT, if you ever wanted to do red again somewhere, get a dark gray primer. Then it should only take 2 or 3 coats. But you're right, red is not an easy color to paint on walls.
