You may want to delete this comment, but.... Everyone thinks he is a great speaker. The problem is most people who love him are not listening to what he is actually saying. They just love to hear to him. Oh, and not much point in trying to listening to WHAT he is saying because he is not saying much. Read one of his speeches.
I do actually listen to his speeches, I was just saying that and you are absolutely right in that a lot of people don't...unfortunately that is a side effect of having a democracy where everyone can vote...people pick who they vote for based on all kinds of things and it doesn't mean that they are right, it is just reality. I like him but I understand that a lot of people don't. I will admit though that a lot of his policies aren't as good as they could be but the issues that affect me are still better than McCain's. You are right that he hasn't said much in the past but every review of this speech gave him credit for finally saying something. I also can sit there and listen to the whole speech and then wonder if I heard the same thing as the analysts at the end when they talk about it...hmmm
Plus, I said "say what you will about his politics..." :-)
